Planning Commission
The Planning Commission consists of seven regular members and two alternate members who are Provo residents, appointed by the Mayor. The Planning Commission reviews and approves or disapproves project plans and decides on all applications for Conditional Use Permits, among other duties (see Provo City Code 14.04). View the Planning Commission Bylaws. View the 2014 Meeting Schedule for meeting dates and application deadlines.
Section 14.04.050 of the Provo City Code allows certain items before the Planning Commission to be heard and decided upon in an Administrative Hearing conducted by Community Development staff. Find those items under the Planning Commission Administrative Hearings section.
The Planning Commission meets twice a month on the 2nd and 4th Wednesday of the month. Meetings may be canceled due to lack of items needing to be heard. The meetings begin at 5:00PM in the Municipal Council Chambers with a pre-meeting at 4:30PM in the Community Development
Conference Room.
Click on a meeting date in the calendar below to view the Agenda, Staff Reports, and Reports of Action for that meeting.
Agendas are posted approximately two weeks before the meeting. Staff Reports are posted approximately a week before the meeting. Reports of Action are typically posted two weeks after
the meeting.
Planning Commission items that require Municipal Council approval will be forwarded to the Municipal Council when the Report of Action is finalized; however, the Municipal Council sets their own agenda and will decide when the items are scheduled for hearing before the council.
