Council Business: Governance Process and Rules

A request to consider the adoption of a proposed ordinance granting the Municipal Council Executive Director authority to update unsubstantive provisions of Provo City Code (such as typographical errors, antiquated references to State and Federal statute) with annual reporting requirements to the Municipal Council. Upcoming Policy Items referred from the Planning Commission

A discussion on a text amendment to Provo City Code 15.04.030, to reduce or eliminate the minimum acreage requirement for a subdivision, which currently may not be less than three acres unless the Planning Commission determines the area is an infill area and cannot reasonably be combined with adjacent properties. A discussion on a text amendment to Provo City Code 14.23.070 to allow street side yard setbacks to be extended beyond the 6 foot maximum when a property is located within 100 feet of a railroad track, upon review by the Design Review Committee. Franklin, Franklin South, Central Business District, and East Bay Neighborhoods. (14-0007OA)

The Municipal Council or the Governing Board of the Redevelopment Agency will consider a motion to close the meeting for the purposes of holding a strategy session to discuss pending or reasonably imminent litigation, and/or to discuss the purchase, sale, exchange, or lease of real property, and/or the character, professional competence, or physical or mental health of an individual in conformance with § 52-4-204 and 52-4-205 et. seq., Utah Code.

Informal discussion may be held in the Council Conference Room between 4:30 pm and 5:30 pm.

The next scheduled Regular Council Meeting will be held on 08/05/2014 at 5:30 PM in the Council Chambers, 351 West Center Street, Provo, unless otherwise noticed. The Work Session meeting start times is to be determined and will be noticed at least 24 hours prior to the meeting time, but typically begins between 1:00 and 4:00pm.
